Join a Simbio Language Exchange

Simbio™ matches you with a native speaker in a language exchange in the Rosetta World™ online community.

In each exchange you play two conversational activities—one in your new language (so your partner can help you), and the other in your native language (so you can help your partner). Familiar images guide you through topics you already know how to talk about in your new language.

In Simbio™ each partner chooses an activity, and you play two activities together, one after the other.

Choose a Simbio Play Mode

1. Under Simbio on the TOTALe Home Screen, choose whether you want to speak or use text. The number shows how many people are available to play with you.
   • Click the button with the mouse icon to choose text activities.
   • Click the button with the microphone icon to choose voice activities.
     
     
2. You’ll see several activities. The two blank tiles on the far left are where the games you and your partner choose will appear. The language you’ll use for each game is listed above the tile. You can Learn about Activities to help you choose your activity.
3. Click Play under any of the activity tiles, and we'll match you up with someone.

Then you'll play two activities, one in the language you're learning, one in your native language.
